Overseas FX Cashback Not Reflected? 7 Common Causes

You traded, but the cashback has not shown up in your account. Sound familiar?
In most cases the cause is one of three things: you did not use a referral link, your account type is not eligible, or the credit time has not come yet. Checking them in order often solves it.
This article covers the 7 causes, how to check each one, and a sample message to send to your broker.
Summary: cashback not reflected comes down to 7 causes
- First, confirm the account was opened through a referral link
- Check that the account type is eligible and the account is already linked
- Make sure identity verification (KYC) is complete
- The credit time may not have come yet, or the minimum amount may not be reached
- If you still cannot tell, contact the broker with your account number
7 reasons cashback is not reflected or not credited
| Cause | Typical situation | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| 1. No referral link used | You opened the account directly on the official site | Whether you came through the link when opening |
| 2. Account not yet linked | An existing account, or you traded before linking | Whether a referrer is registered |
| 3. Ineligible account type | The account type is not eligible for rebates | Eligible accounts on each broker page |
| 4. KYC not complete | KYC is still pending approval | Approval status in the client area |
| 5. Before the credit time | Right after trading, before the credit time | The broker's credit schedule |
| 6. Below the minimum | Accumulated amount has not reached the credit threshold | Accumulated amount and threshold rules |
| 7. Trading that breaks the rules | Your trading matched a prohibited method | The broker's trading terms |
Credit timing, minimum amounts and rule violations
Credit times differ by broker. HFM's official partner terms state that the previous day's amount is credited every day at 0:00 server time.
The same terms also say that only the portion above a cumulative 1 USD is credited. While your trading volume is small, nothing may be credited yet.
If trading that breaks a broker's terms is found, the rebate may be cancelled. If you are unsure about your trading method, read the terms beforehand.
How to check when cashback is not reflected
- 1
Recall how you opened the account
Check whether you opened it through an XB referral link. Your browser history can also help.
- 2
Check the account type and number
In the client area, see whether the account is eligible.
- 3
Check your KYC approval status
Confirm in the client area that your KYC has been approved.
- 4
Check your MT4/MT5 account history
Look for a deposit-type entry (rebate) in the account history.
- 5
Check whether the credit time has passed
Check the time from trade to credit in the broker's guidance.
Sample message to broker support
If the steps above do not solve it, contact broker support. Including your account number and trading period helps them investigate faster.
- Subject: Checking the status of my cashback (rebate)
- Body: For account number XXX, I would like to check the cashback status for trades from (date) to (date).
- Body: Please also tell me whether a referrer is registered and whether the account is eligible.

Q.Why is my overseas FX cashback not reflected?
The main causes are: no referral link used, an account not yet linked, an ineligible account type, incomplete KYC, the credit time not yet reached, a minimum not reached, or trading that breaks the rules. Check them in order.
Q.Is cashback credited on the same day I trade?
It depends on the broker. HFM's official partner terms state that the previous day's amount is credited every day at 0:00 server time. For other brokers, we will confirm and post the details at launch.
Q.Can I link an account later if I forgot to use the referral link?
It depends on the broker, and in many cases it is not possible. Contact broker support first, and if it is difficult, consider opening a new account.
