What the cashback calculator shows
Forex cashback is determined by trading volume (lots), not by whether you win or lose. This tool lets you see your monthly and yearly payout in yen from your daily volume and trading days.
How many dollars come back per lot differs by broker and account type. Confirmed XB values will be published on each broker page at launch, so until then use a provisional value to get a feel for the trend.
How to read the result
Monthly cashback is the amount that returns part of the cost you pay through spreads and commissions. For the same volume, an account with a higher payout has a lower effective cost.
- 1 lot a day over 20 days a month is 20 lots a month. At a payout of 5 USD, that is 100 USD a month (about 15,000 yen)
- Double the volume means double the payout, with no effect on your profit or loss
- The yearly amount is the monthly amount × 12, which can also serve as a guide when filing your tax return
Points to note
Cashback may be taxable. For how to combine it with your trading profit and loss, check with a tax accountant or the tax office (for Japanese residents). Payouts may change when a broker changes its terms.
