XS Spreads and Fees: Real Cost Compared by Account Type

XS spreads and fees differ by account type, so are you unsure which account suits you?

In short, cost changes with the account type, and for accounts with a commission you compare spread plus commission. Through an XB referral link, your real cost falls by the amount of cashback (the amount will be published at the launch in December 2026).

Based on XS's official account page (checked on August 2, 2026), we lay out the conditions of the five accounts and the cost per lot. After reading, you can choose an account by the numbers.

Summary: XS spreads change by account type

  • Standard and Cent average 1.1 pips (EURUSD) with no trading commission
  • Pro averages 0.7 pips with no commission. The minimum deposit is $500
  • Elite averages 0.1 pips with a $6 round-turn commission. Compare the total
  • Via XB, your real cost falls by the cashback amount (to be published at launch)

XS spreads and fees by account type

XS has five account types: Standard, Cent, Pro, Elite, and VIP. The table below summarizes the conditions we checked on XS's official account page on August 2, 2026.

Spreads are the average values published officially (EURUSD, in pips). * means the official page carries a note on individual terms.
AccountSpreadCommissionMinimum depositLeverage
StandardAvg. 1.1 pipsFreeNo limitUp to 1:2000*
CentAvg. 1.1 pipsFreeNo limitCheck official individual terms
ProAvg. 0.7 pipsFree$500Check official individual terms
EliteAvg. 0.1 pips$6 round turn$500Check official individual terms
VIPAvg. 0.1 pipsCustomized$100,000Check official individual terms

Spreads are averages, so they can widen with market conditions and time of day. Cent supports MT5 only and is for people who want to try it with smaller trading units.

Cost per trade in yen

The spread cost is the number of pips multiplied by the value of 1 pip. For yen crosses, you can use the simple conversion of 1 pip = ¥1,000 per lot.

A rough guide to scale, assuming 1 pip = ¥1,000. Actual values vary by currency pair and exchange rate.
AccountSpread cost (1 lot)Commission (round turn)How to read it
StandardAbout ¥1,100NoneThe spread cost is the whole cost
ProAbout ¥700NoneThe spread cost is the whole cost
EliteAbout ¥100$6Compare the total with the commission added
VIPAbout ¥100CustomizedCheck individual terms for the commission

Elite has a small spread cost but charges a separate $6 round-turn commission. Compare the sum of both against the other accounts.

Because the commission is in dollars, its yen amount changes with the exchange rate at the time of the trade. For a strict yen comparison, convert at the rate of that moment.

How to think about real cost after cashback

When you open an account via XB, cashback based on trading volume is credited back to your trading account automatically. Real cost is the total of spread and commission minus the reward amount.

The reward amount is not yet confirmed, so let us assume 1 USD per lot. If Elite's commission is $6 round turn, your commission burden after the reward is $5.

The assumed figures are for explaining the calculation and are not actual reward amounts. XB's reward amounts will be listed on the XS broker page at the launch in December 2026.

Which XS account should you choose?

  • Standard: for those who want to start with a small initial deposit
  • Cent: for those who want to try small trading units on MT5
  • Pro: for those who want no commission and value standard-account conditions
  • Elite: for those who want to manage costs including commission
  • VIP: for those with large funds who want to check individual terms

You do not need to pick a higher-tier account from the start. You can also try Standard or Cent first to check your trading volume and costs, then review the conditions.

Steps to work out your own real cost at XS

  1. 1

    Check the account's spread

Look up the value for the currency pair you trade most in the official contract specifications.

  2. 2

    Add the commission

For commission accounts such as Elite, add the round-turn commission.

  3. 3

    Multiply by lot size

Multiply by the size of one trade to get the cost per trade as an amount.

  4. 4

    Subtract the reward

Subtract the reward amount published after launch, then compare accounts.

Points to note when checking XS costs

  • Officially published spreads are averages and not always the same value
  • Minimum deposit, commission, and leverage differ by account
  • Before trading, check spread, commission, and swap in the contract specifications
  • Cashback may also be taxable (confirm with a tax accountant or the tax office)
