HFM Spreads: Fees and Real Cost by Account, Compared in Yen

HFM has six account types with different spreads and fees, so are you unsure which one has the lowest trading cost?

In short, cost changes with the account type, and for accounts with a commission you compare spread plus commission. Through an XB referral link, your real cost falls by the amount of cashback (the amount will be published at the launch in December 2026).

Based on HFM's official account page (checked on September 1, 2026), we lay out the conditions by account and the cost per lot.

Summary: Check HFM spreads account by account

  • Premium starts from 1.4 pips with no commission and a minimum deposit of 0, so it is easy to start with
  • Pro starts from 0.6 pips with no commission. The minimum deposit is $100
  • Zero starts from 0 pips with a $6 round-turn commission for FX (per standard lot). Compare the total
  • Via XB, your real cost falls by the cashback amount (to be published at launch)

HFM spreads and fees by account type

HFM has six accounts: Premium, Cent, Pro, Zero, KATANA, and Top-Up Bonus. The table below summarizes the conditions we checked officially on September 1, 2026.

Spreads are the minimum values published officially (floating, in pips). * means the official page carries a note on individual terms.

The published values are minimums shown as "from," so actual spreads may be wider. Avoid a simple comparison with other brokers' averages.

Cost per trade in yen

The spread cost is the number of pips multiplied by the value of 1 pip. For yen crosses, you can use the simple conversion of 1 pip = ¥1,000 per lot.

A rough guide to scale, assuming 1 pip = ¥1,000. Actual values vary by currency pair and exchange rate.
AccountSpread cost (1 lot)CommissionHow to read it
PremiumFrom about ¥1,400NoneA minimum value, so the actual cost is at least this
ProFrom about ¥600NoneA minimum value, so the actual cost is at least this
ZeroFrom ¥0$6 round turnCompare the total with the commission added
KATANAFrom about ¥300NoneA minimum value, so the actual cost is at least this
Top-Up BonusFrom about ¥1,400NoneA minimum at the same level as Premium

Zero has a small spread cost but charges a separate $6 round-turn commission for FX. Because it is in dollars, its yen amount changes with the exchange rate at the time of the trade.

How to think about real cost after cashback

When you open an account via XB, cashback based on trading volume is credited back to your trading account. Real cost is the total of spread and commission minus the reward amount.

The reward amount is not yet confirmed, so let us assume 1 USD per lot. If Zero's commission is $6 round turn, your commission burden after the reward is $5.

The assumed figures are for explaining the calculation and are not actual reward amounts. Eligibility by account type and reward amounts will be listed on the HFM broker page at the launch in December 2026.

Which HFM account should you choose?

  • Premium: for those using HFM for the first time
  • Cent: for those who want to try small trading units
  • Pro: for those who want a standard account with a certain deposit amount
  • Zero: for those who want to manage costs including commission
  • KATANA: for those who want to use it after checking its high-leverage terms
  • Top-Up Bonus: for those who want to use a deposit bonus

Bonus-eligible accounts may have different terms from regular accounts. Check the eligible accounts, period, and withdrawal conditions before you deposit.

Steps to work out your own real cost at HFM

  1. 1

    Check the account's spread

Look up the value for the currency pair you trade most in the official contract specifications.

  2. 2

    Add the commission

For commission accounts such as Zero, add the round-turn commission.

  3. 3

    Multiply by lot size

Multiply by the size of one trade to get the cost per trade as an amount.

  4. 4

    Subtract the reward

Subtract the reward amount published after launch, then compare accounts.

Points to note when checking HFM costs
