Is DecodeFX Safe? Operating Entities, Licenses and Fund Protection Checked Against Official Sources

Wondering whether DecodeFX is safe, but unsure which of the several license listings relates to your own account?

The official pages explain that DecodeFX is a brand name and that services differ by entity. They list the Vanuatu entity's VFSC license, among others.

This article separates what the official sources say from the items we could not confirm from them.

In short: first understand the entities and the unconfirmed items

  • Decode Global Limited (Vanuatu, 700415) is stated to hold a VFSC Class A and B Principal license
  • Decode Capital Pty Ltd in Australia holds ASIC AFSL 246796. Its services are limited to the scope of that license
  • Client funds are said to be held with first-class banks. The method of segregation is not described on the official pages we checked
  • We could not confirm any statement on zero-cut (negative balance protection), and the official site says losses can exceed your investment
  • Always confirm which entity applies to your account on the registration screen (for residents of Japan)

DecodeFX's operating entities and licenses

The official Japanese page treats DecodeFX as a brand name. Actual services are provided by each licensed entity.

Checked on the official company overview page on October 22, 2026. For Mauritius and below, the page does not state which entity holds the license.

The official pages also include a notice that holding a regulatory license does not mean the authority approves or guarantees the products or services.

The official site says accounts and services cannot be offered to residents of the United States, Australia, Canada and North Korea. Japan is not listed. The list may change.

How DecodeFX handles client funds and compensation

  • The official pages state that client funds are held with first-class banks and that strict KYC/AML standards apply
  • Specific methods such as segregation or trust safeguarding are not described on the official pages we checked
  • We also could not find a statement about an investor compensation scheme

Even if funds are held at a bank, that does not guarantee they will be returned if the broker fails. Check the safeguarding method in the terms of the entity that applies to you.

A missing statement is not proof that a scheme does not exist. Read items we could not confirm on the assumption that you will check them directly with support or in the terms.

DecodeFX zero-cut statements and trading conditions

The official company overview page warns that leverage magnifies both profits and losses, and that losses can exceed your initial investment. It does not promise zero-cut.

Checked on DecodeFX's official accounts page on August 4, 2026. Maximum leverage is 1:2000*.

What to check before using cashback with DecodeFX

  • Cashback is a return based on trading volume. It does not guarantee the broker's safety
  • It applies to new accounts opened via XB's referral link. The cashback amount will be posted when XB launches in December
  • Because zero-cut could not be confirmed, trade lots that leave a comfortable margin
  • Whether CENT accounts are eligible, and how they are converted, will be checked and posted at launch
  • Make sure the name on your deposit source matches the name registered with DecodeFX

The cashback amount is not yet confirmed. Avoid increasing your trading volume because of cashback, and trade only with funds you can afford to lose.

Check account types, deposits and withdrawals, and how to open an account on the DecodeFX broker page.
